Mobile Shredding Services in El Segundo

El Segundo is an unusual city by Southern California standards — roughly three-quarters of its land is dedicated to industrial and commercial use, anchored by the Chevron refinery and one of the densest concentrations of aerospace, defense, and technology employers in the country. That kind of business footprint produces an extraordinary volume of confidential paperwork, retired hard drives, and proprietary materials that need to be destroyed securely and on a regular cadence. Paper Recycling & Shredding Specialists has supported that need for more than 30 years, providing on-site mobile destruction at offices, manufacturing sites, and the residential community in El Segundo's western neighborhoods.

How does one-time shredding work?

Step 1: Scheduled an appointment

  • Schedule your shredding service by completing our free quote form or calling our office. One of our friendly staff members will answer all your questions and schedule you for a day convenient for you!

Step 2: Prepare for the day of service

  • Have your documents prepared for shredding. You can do this by placing them in a box, bag, or anything that can hold them. No need to remove staples, paperclips, binder clips, hanging folders, or 3-ring binders. They can all be shredded with your paper!

Step 3: Day of service

  • One of our drivers will give you a call 30 minutes before he arrives.

  • The driver will transfer your paper into a 64-Gallon bin; each bin holds 7 boxes of paper. It will then be transferred to the truck to be shredded.

  • All the paper will be shredded on-site before the driver leaves your location.

  • The driver will have you sign a Certificate of Destruction. This verifies that all your documents have been destroyed!

How Service Works On-Site

The process is straightforward in every case. After a quote and scheduled date, our driver calls ahead — typically about 30 minutes before arrival — and pulls up to your El Segundo address at the agreed time. Documents are transferred into secure 64-gallon bins (each holds approximately seven banker's boxes of paper), the bins are lifted into the shred truck, and destruction takes place on-site while you watch or attend to other work. No preparation is required: staples, paper clips, binder clips, hanging folders, and three-ring binders all go through the shredder along with the paper.

Before leaving, the driver issues a signed Certificate of Destruction recording what was destroyed and when. For hard drives or other media, additional documentation can be provided as needed.

Service Area: El Segundo (90245) and the Surrounding South Bay

We provide mobile shredding throughout El Segundo and the 90245 ZIP code, covering the city's industrial and commercial core, the office and aerospace corridors, and the residential neighborhoods on the west side. We also serve the surrounding South Bay communities, including Manhattan Beach, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, and Torrance, along with the wider Los Angeles County region.

Compliance, Chain of Custody, and Documentation

For El Segundo's regulated industries — aerospace and defense, healthcare, financial services, legal — record disposal is not just a logistical question; it is a compliance question. Our service is designed to support HIPAA, FACTA, California privacy requirements, and the documentation standards that come with serving customers in regulated sectors. Documents stay in locked containers from collection through destruction, our personnel are screened and trained, the destruction itself happens in your presence on-site, and the Certificate of Destruction provides the audit-ready record your compliance team needs.

The chain-of-custody distinction matters here. Off-site shredding requires you to trust that destruction took place at a facility you did not visit; on-site shredding lets you watch it happen. For organizations handling sensitive information, that visibility is the standard worth holding.
